Vittorio Villa and Marcello Villa have both graduated at the International School of Violin-making in Cremona, Italy. They were violinmaking-teachers and violin-teachers at the same Institute. They have performed as violinists for several years (Conservatory Diploma) in orchestras and chamber music ensambles. Finalist in several Italian and international violin making competitions, they make reproductions of famous antique violins, violas and cellos according to classic Stradivari, Guarneri and Amati patterns.
It is due to their background as performers, teachers and researchers that their violins, violas and cellos are sought after by musicians for their sound quality in addition to their fine workmanship.
In fact, according to many musicians performing as soloists or in the best orchestra in the world, Villa instruments greatly combine beauty and fine acoustics.
Both Marcello and Vittorio's particular passion is reproducing Stradivarius and Amati inlaid decorated instruments, which they believe to be the quintessence of artistic and technical perfection.
